Of great interest to visitors are the Monks’ hermitages of San Trano and San Nicolo, as well as the Balaiana (1050 A.D.) and Baldu castles which can be found just outside the village.
Luogosanto is perfectly positioned with its close proximity to Olbia international airport (42 km)and its busy harbour which links with all the major Italian ports. Alghero is less than 2 hour away.
From this area you’ll have easy access to the famous resort of Arzachena and Esmeralda coast (20 km), nearby Palau (27 km) provides a gateway to the La Maddalena Archipelago by boat.
The resort of Santa Teresa di Gallura on the northern tip of the Island offers daily sailing services to the stunning French Island of Corse via its harbour.
The extraordinary mountainous Gallura’s hinterland can be reached in a few minutes drive through enchanting roads.
Worth mentioning is the route that brings you to the famous crystal-clear Filletta (6 km from Luogosanto)and ten to the artificial dam of the Liscia Lake and its enchanting surroundings where you can experience the rustic charm unchanged through the centuries. That is the place where the local entrepreneurs have set up their restaurants and B&B facilities, as numerous tourists flock here to admire the Europe’s oldest olive trees believed to be aged between 3800-4000 years.
Take a stroll into the lovely l landscaped vineyards scattered through the area that have been cultivate with juicy Vementino and Nebiolo vines ; the pride of Sardinia. There you can sip a selection of Sardinian wines that are highly recognised all over the world.
Finally, visit the lovely Tempio Pausania town at the bottom of the 1362 m high Limbara Mount. The village is renowned for its diuretic waters and imposing granite façade in the historic city centre and curative quality. Just within few kilometres away can be found the industrious village of Calangianus famous for its thriving cork industry, and the picturesque Aggius and its intriguing Valley of the Moon.
Noted for its logistic value, this is one of the best area to buy a property in Sardinia.

This appealing investment opportunity refers to a traditional country home and land located in Abilina , a rural hamlet just 8 km outside of Luogosanto.
The site is easily accessible by the SP14, which is the main road running between Luogosanto and Arzachena (14 Km).
The area is a popular destination for tourist visiting the Capichera vineyards and several archaeological sites that pepper the local area, like the Giant’s Grave of Coddu Vecchju and the castles of Balaiana and Baldu.
It represents a microcosm of typical Gallurese countryside with its rich Mediterranean vegetation, grazing meadows for cattle and sheep as well as the traditional farmhouses, like this one in Abilina ,which are still inhabited by the locals.
This really is a mouth-watering prospect for any investor that feel to have a project inside him: although the house needs lots of TLC this offers a great chance to develop a B&B or Agriturismo business, or just a wonderful family home.

Specifically this golden opportunity refers to a 4-hectare land with an ancient olive grove extending over 3 hectares from which you can potentially produce 800 liters of oil.
The property offers truly breathtaking views of a patchwork of fertile fields and green areas covered with typical luscious Mediterranean vegetation dotted with granite rocks. On a clear day you can see the golden coastline of the French island of Corse.
The real gem is the well-preserved traditional stazzu as the locals call it, a farmhouse which has retained its original charm and features such as granite stones harmoniously composed with the entire building or
the wooden beams ceiling and original shutters and doors.
Of particular interest for canny investors is the potential for the whole site: the seller has managed to get  approved  an extension of the  main house up to 220 sq m, making this offer priceless with the current restrictive environmental  regulations.
There is also a ruined building of 42 sq m which was not possible to include in the above mentioned building project.
Last but not least, buyers are allowed to build a swimming pool and a complementary covered area of 30 sq m just behind the new proposed outbuildings.
Price is subject to Vat and legal cost
